From the Editor : The Positivity Edition
Hey everyone!
It’s hard to believe that we have come to the end of March, or the first quarter of the year. We hope that 2015 has been kind to you so far. Nevertheless, if you have had a challenging few months, we hope you are keeping positive and strong and we are confident that you have the capabilities to overcome any challenges that you are facing.
Speaking of positivity, we have a great edition on just that. In this issue, we will be exploring various ways to nurture positive values and attitudes in your children and your family. In the first article, we highlight how parents could start going back to positive character and values as these are fundamental aspects of happy, healthy and thriving families. Next, we discuss nurturing positive and healthy attitude towards eating in children. This is because, it it not only important for us to teach kids to eat healthy, but developing positive feelings towards nutrition will go a long way in ensuring that your children keep to proper nutrition and diet well into adulthood.
Beyond that, you can’t inject positivity without creating a spirit of fun, adventure in your family. So in this issue, we also discuss the various ways you can do this. Trust us, its easier than you think! Last but not least, on the medical aspect, we talked to Dr Ng Ruey Terng who explained what is failure to thrive and how to prevent or manage it in children through proper nutrition.
