From the Editor : Welcome to our Newborn Edition
Hi there fabulous moms and dads!!
Hope you and your family are in the pink of health, mentally, emotionally and physically! Guess what, we have come to the end of July and what a busy month this has been.
To our Muslim readers, you are almost nearing the end of Ramadhan and with that comes the anticipation of Hari Raya soon. So are you all excited yet? Have you completed your Raya shopping and prepared your Raya cookies for friends and family? If you haven’t, we bet you are busy completing them now.
To all our other readers, we are confident that you too are looking forward to the long break for a family getaway or even for balik kampung yourselves. If you are, do remember to check or send your vehicles for servicing before you travel and most importantly.. drive safe! 🙂
While we anticipate the upcoming celebrations, we have another great edition of the Pitter Patter newsletter for you. In the last edition we talked about parenting. This time we take it a step further and will be talking about newborns. Our first article will feature newborn diet and their common digestive problems. Next we will also touch on a very important aspect of your baby’s health; glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency. Additionally, we also have an interesting article about the importance of exercising for and with your baby! That’s right babies need exercise too! But don’t worry, theirs is not as intensive as the treadmill run or lunges or crazy yoga poses that you do for yourself! 🙂
Finally, we will also look at how you can best communicate with your baby. No doubt you have developed that inherent eternal bond with your little one where you can possibly communicate telepathically. But boosting their mental and cognitive development through communications can only make your baby healthier and happier mentally and physically.
So anyway we hope you enjoy this edition and we certainly wish that you will find the information useful in navigating the adventures of early parenthood. If you have any questions do email us at [email protected] Alternatively you may also visit our website or Facebook page for more updates and information on all things parenting, baby, pregnancy and total health.
Take care everyone and Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri and Happy Holidays!
