What’s happening to my baby?
Your baby is now looking like a small baby. The external ears and eyes are well developed. The baby’s skin is very thin where you could actually see the blood vessels running through it. At the stage, your baby is about 94 – 104mm in length and weighs approximately 50gm.
What’s happening to me?
By now, others may notice that you are pregnancy. The upper part of your uterus is now four to 5 inches below your belly button. You may also start to notice skin changes associated with pregnancy such as increase pigmentation on your skin. These changes is more obvious in women with darker skin. There could be areas of butterfly-shape pigmentation on your face called ‘chloasma’ or mask of pregnancy. This would fade or disappear after pregnancy. Other noticeable skin changes occur on the belly such as pigmentation lines called linea nigra and striae gravidarum. Stretch marks would also be seen on the abdomen, breast, hip or buttocks
